Launch of Report on Local Faith Communities and Immunization
prepared by Jill Olivier on behalf of JLI F&LC
Dr. Jill Olivier’s new report, “Local Faith Communities and Immunization for Community and Health Systems Strengthening,” is a broad scoping review mapping and understanding the available literature on ‘religion and immunization’. The goal is to note where evidence and information can be found and to identify key areas for further research, engagement and partnership. An annotated bibliography accompanies the report.

Upon completion of an intensive series of deliberations and consultative sessions at the International Conference on Vaccination and Religion in Dakar, Senegal, a network of prominent African Muslim scholars and medical professionals, convened by the International Interfaith Peace Corps (IIPC), made the following Final Dakar Declaration  in support of efforts to vaccinate children in every part of the African continent.
